The Taurus Fuels Management System is a comprehensive
software package providing fuel oil dealers with automatic
control over all aspects of delivery and service for all types
of customers.
The Fuels Management System starts with dependable, automatic
home delivery projection tied to comprehensive, centralized
customer information. Accounts receivable, credit control,
delivery, and service functions are all closely integrated
within an intuitive user interface, where ease of use is matched
with powerful access to information.
Automatic accounts receivable processing and billing,
combined with detailed service invoicing, make this one of the
most cost effective and versatile systems available today in the
retail fuel oil industry. This powerful software provides
complete automatic control of all deliveries, delivery
schedules, budget customer accounts, and service invoicing.
The more than 100 reports supply the dealer with printed
records of any aspect of the business, and a Report Writer with
an ASCII data export facility extends information access to
other applications such as word processors and spreadsheets.
Our Fuels Management System has a proven track record,
continually growing and evolving to meet the real world demands
of fuel oil and propane dealers for over 20 years. Working
closely with our customer user group, the Fuels Management
System continues to evolve, interfacing new technologies,
providing the competitive edge.
The Fuels Management System operates on a wide variety of
hardware and operating systems. This software currently runs
under MS-DOS; Windows; Windows 95/98; DOS Networks such as
Concurrent DOS, Novell and LANtastic; SCO UNIX/XENIX; IBM's AIX
operating system, and Windows NT. We can provide a complete
state of the art computer system, or build up from your existing
compatible hardware. We will install the system, train your
personnel, and continue to provide expedient assistance as
needed. Our support after the sale is second to none.
The Fuels 8 package is year-2000 compliant.
Empower Your Employees
The Fuels Management System places information from print
tickets, credit reviews, pricing, delivery, work orders (with
up-to-date customer site information), and management reports,
at your customer representative's fingertips. By getting the
right information to the proper employees in a quick and
efficient manner, our system allows your employees to make the
correct decision in a prompt and cost efficient way.
We do this by providing a highly integrated package with the
strongest Inquiry in the industry. From this hub, employees can
rapidly access information affecting a customer's background,
billing address and contact information, accounts receivable,
credit control, product, delivery, service, service history, LP
gas, best cost purchasing, point of sale and more! Calculations
are based upon true aging rather than month-end bucket aging to
provide more accurate totals. The current balance reflects all
current payments, deliveries, and miscellaneous postings.
Depending on the operating system that you use, you may be
able to multi-task, which allows you to have more than one
screen of information to work with.
Fuel Delivery Interfaces
The Taurus Fuels Management System interfaces with a wide
selection of devices and software including Gasboy,
Petro Vend, Mid-Com, Oasis, Apollo Systems Visual Dispatcher,
and Mobil Computer Communications. If you need a new or special
interface to a software package or hardware device, our expert
staff will work with you to provide it as quickly as possible.

Optional Modules
The following separate add-on modules are available to
supplement the Fuels Management System:
Service Management – Service Management options allow you
to prioritize and monitor customer service needs, enter and
track work orders, post service calls, and maintain customer
appliance and warranty information.
Service Dispatching – Dispatching contains 14 options that
allow you to post, print, display, update, and maintain work
order assignments for servicemen during their regular work
hours.
Liquid Products Inventory – Point of Sale programs provide
6 options that allow you to look up and add accounts and to
enter sales, returns, orders, and quotes for cash, credit card
(MasterCard/Visa/Discover/American Express), and charge account
customers.
Liquid Products Jobber – Wholesale Distribution encompasses
three sub-systems that combine to offer comprehensive
receivables, inventory, and order processing capabilities for
wholesale distributors. The accounts receivable, order
entry/invoicing, and inventory control procedures are interfaced
to maintain accurate and up-to-date information at all times.
Fuel Stop/Gasboy – The Gasboy Programs consist of 8
selections that enable you to create, maintain, print, display,
and transfer fuel stop (delivery transaction) records.
Point of Sale – Point of Sale programs provide 6 options
that allow you to look up and add accounts and to enter
sales/returns/orders/quotes for cash, credit card (m/v/d/a), and
charge account customers.
Financial Options
General Ledger – General Ledger systematically maintains
records of transactions that take place in daily operations and
keeps these records in standardized files, which can be
displayed or printed. The software package provides financial
and comparative reports and listings that indicate the financial
status of your business, and working reports that help with
entry during posting and file maintenance. The application ties
into the all Fuels Management, Accounts Payable, and Payroll
systems, which optimizes data storage and maintenance.
Accounts Payable – Besides offering standard posting
procedures and General Ledger references, the Accounts Payable
software package includes a wide range of operations such as
check printing capabilities, automatic proofing and
reconciliation procedures, tabulations, cross-references and
distributions, routine processing and period closing procedures,
numerous reports and listings, and unlimited history storage
capacity.
Payroll – Taurus Payroll business software provides an
efficient and comprehensive system to manage all of your payroll
needs. This software package includes a wide range of features
to ensure the accuracy needed to determine your operating
expenses, and to report earnings information to employees and to
federal, state, and other agencies. The Payroll System includes
an option to automatically keep a record of General Ledger
accounts directly affected by payroll transactions. This option
automatically records General Ledger entries to debit expense
accounts by account number, and credits a single cash account
for the amount of all payroll checks. Also, withholding and
deduction amounts are accumulated and recorded. The Payroll
System includes a similar option to automatically record and
maintain Job Cost Accounting entries from each payrun in the Job
Cost Distribution File.
