Dispatching
Service Dispatching is an add on module for
the Fuels package that allows visually scheduling the activities
of your service technicians. You can see an overview of all work
orders for all technicians scheduled for a particular day or an
overview of all work orders for a particular technician over
several days. You can ‘pick up’ work orders and move them to
other time slots and/or technicians. You can schedule technician
unavailable time for particular periods during the day (e.g.
lunch break) or across several days (e.g. vacation). When you
are entering a new work order you have the option of switching
to the dispatching screen and scheduling it in any available
timeslot.
The Taurus Fuels Management System interfaces
with a wide selection of devices and software including
- Mobil Computer Communications
- Barcoding
If you need a new or special interface to a software package
or hardware device, our expert staff will work with you to
provide it as quickly as possible.
Below is a brief description of some of these
products.
Mobile Computing Corporation Field Service Interface
This system gives service technicians out in the field access
to all the information they need to complete their work in an
efficient and timely manner. When a call comes in and a work
order is created, the operator or dispatcher has an option to
dispatch it to the MCC base dispatch computer. From here the
dispatcher can transmit work order information directly over
radio to the closest and most available technician to the site.
Upon completion of the service call the technician has the
option of creating an invoice and leaving it at the customer
site. The information is automatically sent back to the main
accounts receivable system as service call posting records. If
you are using the dispatching and scheduling system, there is
the possibility of real-time updating of the status of employees
and work orders.
